SWISCORP was contracted to optimize the district heating system in the city of Martigny by designing a rigid and properly dimensioned foundation to support stacked containers. The primary technical challenge was ensuring the containers’ resistance to wind forces. To address this, the project included a comprehensive site visit, wind simulations and analysis, foundation sizing, and the development of detailed designs and instructions for implementation. This approach ensured the foundations could securely support the containers while withstanding adverse environmental conditions, providing a reliable solution for the heating system infrastructure.
